Before sudden challenges in the spring, our club had started planning to work with Operation Motorsports for events this year. Operation Motorsport’s mission is to engage, through Motorsports opportunities, ill, injured and wounded Service Members and disabled Veterans, affected by military service, leading to aiding in their recovery and rehabilitation.
Operation eMotorsport iRacing is hosting a virtual iRace of Remembrance 2020 edition from virtual Sebring, FL on Sunday November 8th. Due to COVID-19 the Race of Remembrance at Anglesey Circuit, UK has been cancelled for 2020. The intent of the event is to bring together beneficiaries, veterans, military members, race car drivers/crew members, and other supporters/fans in a friendly virtual sports car racing environment. We will start the event with an 11:00 AM Remembrance Service and a minute of silence to honour service and those who have given everything.
Event Overview
This is a 6-hr multi-class / multi-driver virtual endurance sportscar event with max / min drive times using the Porsche Cayman GT4 & BMW M4 GT4 on the iRacing platform at the iconic Hendricks Field.
Operation Motorsports is encouraging anyone who supports CAF veteran programs and activities to enter as an open class team or volunteer as the Pro driver in a Pro/Am pairing, which will support our ill, injured & wounded transitioning service members and disabled veterans.
Entry registration closes on Nov 1st.
Event Schedule
See the Operation Motorsports event page for details.
