This amazing 295 page book on BRUCE MCLAREN documents this amazing man from the early years 1937-1957, through Formula 1, to Can Am with pictures, documents and stories to support every step along his incredible journey.
On pages 172 + 173 is a wonderful tribute to his teammate, Timmy Mayer who died in a Tasman Series crash in 1964. Timmy’s older brother, Teddy, was one of the founders of the McLaren Race Team. Teddy’s son, Tim, is currently a senior FIA International Steward.
The book itself is in excellent condition and was donated to the OSCC by Phil Pothier. It is an amazing read….in fact, I have had it for a while now and have enjoyed it from cover to cover….twice! It is THE ultimate addition to any motorsport enthusiast’s library.
