Calabogie, Ontario — OSCC Member and Board Member Ted Martin and son Nick Martin teamed with Chris Milosek and Santi Rios and the Primo Trailer Sales Racing Team to finish 3rd overall in the 12 Hours of Calabogie. Since positions P1 and P2 were taken by EC (Exception Class) Cars, the team captured P1 on the podium! Only Chump classes A through D are eligible for podium positions.
This great result for a new team was a combination of Jay Frederick and Powersports Garage’s tremendous efforts to prep the car in the days preceding the race, a fuel conservation strategy during the very wet stints (all but the last hour) that eliminated one pit stop, and the blistering pace set by Nick Martin in the final hour to bring home the victory.
Despite the wet and uncomfortable conditions, the competitive spirit of all of the teams, the event organization provided by Sal and Wendy and their team, and the dedication of the Marshals and the Safety Team all made for a great experience.
